My Name is Natasha Clarke I am a Irish citizen currently studying a BA in Digital Marketing, Communications and Public Relations at Dundalk Institute of Technology in Louth, Ireland.

When im not studying at college i’m usually planning holidays to various parts of the world. I have visited a number of different Countries like Greece, Crete, US, England, Portugal, France and Spain. I guess you could say Traveling is a hobby of mine and if not Travelling im researching different cultures and customs from around the world.

I was once told from a friend of mine ‘the world is like a book and those who do not travel only see the first page’ those words always stuck in my mind and I guess sparked my attention to finding out more about the world and the people we live among.

The Irish culture is very different in comparison to most of the cultures I have researched. Irish culture has many different meanings. There is no set definition of  as such for Irish culture but there are a few symbols which are unique to Ireland. Ireland is often called the ‘land of saints and scholars’ referring to the golden age of monastic learning, or ‘the emerald isle’ referring to the green landscape.

Many of our old customs and traditions have went extinct but we do have a few that I suppose will never fade like our holidays/festivals St. Patrick’s Day, Our celebrations of Halloween and of course are Pub Culture most of these have been spread worldwide due to the mass of immigration from Ireland over the years.
